Chilkat Protector by Tlingit weaver Lily Hop was made from Merino wool and cedar bark with ermine fur. In her submission, Hope wrote, “We have a responsibility to honor and carry on the teachings, to keep creating, to share our version of spirits with others, so when we pass, we’ve left the world more beautiful, through our weaving and through a joyful spirit.” Chilkat Protector was one of the masks to receive the Judge’s Choice Award. </text>
